German Woman Whose Letters Never Arrived, Now Knows Why It’s Pronounced ‘Un Post’

Frieda Schmidt whose last two letters to Berlin never arrived, said today she now knows why the Irish language name for Ireland’s postal system ‘An Post,’ is pronounced ‘Un Post’. Schmidt says “You post your letter and they loose it, they literally un post it!”

Husband Seán Ó Muirí replied, “This from the country that calls the nipple, the breast wart? And by the way, no matter how you pronounce Brustwarze, it still sounds remarkably like breast wart…”

Schmidt, who was later informed her missing letters had been discovered at a German sorting office, was unavailable to set the record straight after the news broke but eventually tweeted that, “In due course, after all appropriate investigations have been carried out and upon delivery of my letters, I will take appropriate action”.

When asked what exactly this meant, Ó Muirí replied, “It means that as usual, my wife will be unable to attend any event where she won’t be basking in the limelight, however faint it may be?”
