Man So Angry He Wants To Sweep Everything Off A Desk

Part-time call centre employee Jarlath Reynolds got so angry today, he told friends, he wanted to let out a scream of rage and sweep everything off a desk, “the way real men do in the movies?”

But then ‘the jar’ membered he was off sick and nowhere near his desk. Anyway, he conceded, he’d have had to tidy it all up again afterwards, as everything on the desk was his.

For a moment he reflected on whether he could have gotten away with sweeping everything off a colleague’s desk but in an open plan office that would have been hard to pull off. Eventually he was able to console himself by looking at a montage of Hollywood’s greatest ‘angry desk swipes’ on his mobile.

But his mood only lifted, he later said, after he realized he could still punch a locker next time he was at the gym. Until then, he decided to practise throwing angry punches and yelling ‘Goddammit!‘
