How Many Drinks Should I Buy A Mother-Daughter-Sister-Lover-Woman?
“My question was meant to be a jokey but compelling exploration of all things female”, legendary Galway bore Brendan Coyle, said awkwardly, in The Ramble Inn last night.
Coyle was explaining the swift end of his date with 26 year old Laura Bradley to ‘early drinker’ Thos J. Guiney and barman & proprietor Eamon Halligan.
Bradley, a ‘Life Coach’ and self-described ‘social media influencer,’ left after spending less than a minute on the premises. As she left, she loudly announced she was ‘looking for kicks, not pricks’.
Coyle said that her t-shirt, bearing the slogan “I am a Mother-Daughter-Sister-Lover-Woman,” had prompted him to query how many drinks he should buy her and she’d ‘failed to see the joke’.
And by the way, he said irritably, as his companions continued to snigger, she’s actually not a mother?
‘Well in that case,’ Guiney pointed out, ‘you’d have gotten off with four drinks’.
