Barman Curates Drinks Order
Owner & barman of The Ramble Inn, Eamon Halligan, informed ‘early drinker’ Thomas Joseph Guiney this evening, that he would ‘curate’ the three pints of Guinness he’d just ordered – “In a way that validates the originality of the customer’s overall vision” – until he returned from the toilet.
Mr. Guiney replied that if he’d known he was speaking to an ‘event curator,’ he’d have ordered “an eclectic assortment of iconic bar snacks, comprising one regular, one dry roasted and one bombay mix, in a way that both entertained and informed while also holding a mirror up to society that made us question our most basic beliefs”.
After placing the snacks on the counter, Halligan inquired if the pub’s ‘paradigmatic dart board’ would be required at all, ‘in either a post modern or absurdist sense’.
“Not even if I’m tinker-drunk,” Guiney confided, “and giving your mother ‘the look of love’ when she swings by to pick up the empties.”
