TD To Ask Dragons’ Den To Invest In His Political Dogwhistle

Fresh from his Trump-like intervention in Oughterard’s campaign against a planned asylum hostel, Independent TD Noel ‘Atticus’ Grievance, will ask the Dragons Den to fund his new political dog whistle.

Deputy Grievance stressed that for those who can’t quite bring themselves to indulge in the kind of hate-speak he used in Oughterard, the political dog whistle will allow them poison the public debate in much the same way.

In answer to questions from the Dragons, Grievance angrily denied he’s a ‘super sponge’ himself.

“Bringing up the €10k I claimed in expenses for ‘policy formation’ this year or the €41k I claimed in 2012 in entirely unvouched expenses,” he said, “is nothing more than a shameless attempt to smear me”.

Confirming that he’d received the money, Grievance said he hoped journalists would investigate, as he’d be very surprised if immigrants weren’t behind this completely unprovoked campaign against him.

“Because as I always say,” he added, “a wink is as good as a grudge”.
