Liverpool Man Planning To Mark Anniversary Of Thatcher’s Death By Replaying Video Of Her Funeral
“April 8th is a very special day,” Peter Whelan smiled fondly, “full of wonderful memories and little chuckles of glee? I like to kick it off early by playing a few party tunes to get me in the mood – Free Nelson Mandela, Stand Down Margaret, The Wicked Witch Is Dead and especially, Tramp Down The Dirt?”
Whelan said he plans to throw his usual a bash for a small gathering of like-minded friends. “I’ll get a couple of kegs in and have the Taj Mahal do us a nice buffet. After that I’ll hit the decks and play some more sounds to build up to the main event? This’ll be my tenth time watching it and it’s always marvellous. I couldn’t possibly go out on a night like that and miss the chance to relive this very special moment.”
“We’re just ordinary folk basically, celebrating a glorious day in British history, the same way other people celebrate birthdays and anniversaries? But obviously this one’s much more important than any of those…”
