Man Singing ‘Try That In A Small Town’, Furious Capitol Rioter Jailed For Attacking Police

Carl Tully fumed yesterday as he howled along to the lyrics of Jason Aldean’s redneck hit Try That In A Small town, which threatens violence towards police protestors. As he drove, the truck driver warbled about the kind of ‘big city’ bad behaviour towards the police that wouldn’t fly in a small town

Cuss out a cop, spit in his face
Stomp on the flag and light it up

Tully blinked back the tears as he thought about the four-year prison sentence given to a Jan 6 rioter who beat a police officer with a flagpole while he lay on the ground, unable to defend himself.

Tully became so emotional, he was barely able to sing

Well, try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road

Afterwards he rang his local radio station to complain but was told assaults on police officers often attract 10-year sentences. “Even if they do,” Tully mumbled, “Jan 6 was different because…well…because it didn’t happen in a small town?”
