Fed Says Risk To Economy From Drag Queens “Greatly Overstated”
The Federal Reserve says the risk Drag Queens pose to the US economy has been greatly overstated and that fallout from the banking crisis is more likely to tilt the economy into recession this year.
“Republicans have repeatedly overstated the threat,” the Fed ruled, pointing out that Drag Queens are only the fourth greatest risk, “well behind inflation, Ebola and gender-neutral bathrooms”.
Officials voted to increase the benchmark borrowing rate by 0.25 percentage point, “on the assumption that the recently concluded Season 15 of Ru Paul’s Drag Race All Stars marks the end of the franchise”.
