Student Whose Mother Will Only Let Him Smoke Weed In His Room, Just Wishes She’d Let Him Live His Own Life
Arts student Oscar Mooney complained bitterly today about his mother’s attitude when it came to ‘lifestyle choices’.
“I don’t suppose it’s fair to ask for more from a woman who went straight from the convent to the kitchen,” he texted fellow student Finn Waterson, “but would it be too much to ask her to let me live my own life?”
“Ask not what you can do for Mrs Mooney,” Waterson replied, “ask what Mrs Mooney can do for you?”
“I wouldn’t mind but when I do smoke in my room, she complains about that too. I’ve told her I have essays to think about. But her fav line is, ‘you have to do, to be’!”
“It’s Catch-22, innit,” Waterson answered, “She’s saying ‘You think, therefore you aren’t?”
